ADMET appoints Marc Venet
Product Marketing Specialist
New position signals emphasis on marketing/customer service…
NORWOOD, Mass. – June 3, 2003 – ADMET Inc., a provider of integrated materials testing systems, today announced that Marc Venet has joined the company as product marketing specialist.
The newly created position is designed to offer specialized support to ADMET’s expanding sales channels and to directly support customers. Venet’s responsibilities include both pre- and post-sales technical support as well as the development of marketing, communications and training materials. He will work remotely and onsite with ADMET sales representatives, original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and customers.
“Marc brings a unique background to the position – one that
is ideally suited to our technical sales environment,” commented Richard
Gedney, ADMET founder and president. “He has solid marketing and technical
credentials in manufacturing, software and biotechnology. He will be able
to assist a wide range of customers as they apply our materials testing systems
to their laboratory, manufacturing and research applications.”
Venet’s extensive technical and marketing experience includes product
and project management and training, as well as technical and marketing
writing. Most recently, he was a technical writer for The MathWorks of
Natick, Mass. Previously, he held product marketing management and technical
support engineering positions at Millipore Corp. (now Mykrolis) of Bedford,
Mass., and was an application engineer at Drytek (purchased by LAM Research)
of Wilmington, Mass.
Venet holds a bachelor of science in chemical engineering from Northeastern University of Boston and a masters of science in biotechnology from the University of Massachusetts. Venet is a member of the Society for Technical Communications. He lives in Natick, Mass.
