Micro Testers

ADMET’s product line of Micro testers focuses specifically on testing miniature samples such as biomaterials, bone, fibers, threads, wires, boards, thin films, and more. These systems have the option to perform tension, compression, flexure, and uniaxial tests and are adaptable to microscope stages.

Micro Testers | Universal Testing Systems

The eXpert 4000 is a full featured miniature testing machine that performs tension, compression and bend tests at capacities up to 5 kN (1,125 lb). The eXpert 4000 features opposing moving crossheads which means the center of the specimen never moves; a necessary feature when the eXpert 4000 is used with a microscope for measuring the strain properties of materials.

Micro Testers | Universal Testing Systems

The BioTense Perfusion Bioreactor is an innovative instrument to help tissue engineers and cell biologists perform high resolution investigation in mechanobiology. Unique to the BioTense is its ability to apply mechanical stimulation and directly observe cell/matrix interaction at magnification over long periods of time. The Bioreactor sits atop the XYZ stage of an inverted microscope.

Micro Testers | Environmental Chambers & Baths

Environmental chambers and baths are used to heat or (if supplied) cool samples while testing. Micro Testers can be designed to work inside environmental baths and chambers or can be engineered to accommodated small scale set ups.  All chambers are supplied with temperature controllers. Liquid nitrogen is typically used for cooling, however, options such liquid helium are available for temperatures below -200 degree Celsius.
